  • Updated Coach Contact Emails: We have upgraded our service just a bit, to make things easier and simpler  for you.  If you need to contact your coach, you can do so by sending an email to  For instance if you play on the asteroids, you would email to reach your coach.  If anyone finds their particular email to not work correctly, please contact so we can get it fixed.
  • Des Moines Menace Trips: Region 1103 is looking to sponsor three different Des Moines Menace games this season.  The first is coming up April 27th at 3:00 PM and is at the UI Sports Complex in Iowa City.  Cost is Free.  The other two are in June and July.  The Last trip, on July 12th, offers the opportunity for players to be ball persons during the game, or to participate in a game on the field at half time.  Check the information page for more details, or contact  
  • Fall Registration: It is that time of year again.  We are in the middle of our fall registration event.  All players, please click on the red Register Here button to sign up again for next season.  $60 will register you for the Fall of 2014 and Spring of 2015.  This will also give you access to AYSO indoor soccer, AYSO tournaments, supplemental accident insurance, Youth Ref and Coaching programs, Inter-League play with Cedar Rapids, and a host of other benefits.  Sign up know while the fee is low.  The registration deadline is July 1, at which point cost will increase to $80.

  • Next Regional Board Meeting: Monday, May 5th at 6:30 PM at Marengo Public Library
  • Next Soccer Slam Committee Meeting: TBA  at 6:30 PM at Marengo Public Library
  • Tuma Concurrent Program:  We will be continuing to participate in the Tuma Concurrent program on Saturday Evenings during the season.  This is an excellent opportunity to gain some extra quality touches and is highly recommended to any continuing players.  Please check out the information page, or contact the regional commissioner for more information or to sign up.
  • Soccer SlamSoccer Slam will be held in Amana on May 31-June 1 this season.  For the first time ever, we will be opening the tournament up to other teams in the area.  We have a maximum of 8 teams per division, so register early and reserve your spot.  Check out the website for more information, or stop by the onfield registration events during the season.   In region registration deadline is Saturday, April 19th.  Late registration deadline is Saturday, May 3rd.
  • Soccer Fest: Soccer Fest in Dubuque will be held on June 28th and 29th.  Our goal is to send at least one team from every division to Dubuque this year.  The region covers the cost of registration, so the only player expense is a jersey (if you do not already have a tournament jersey) and one or two nights hotel stay in Dubuque.  Check out the website for more information, or stop by the registration events during the season.  Registration deadline is Monday, June 2.
  • Chicago Fire Soccer Camp: The Chicago Fire Soccer Camp will be the week of July 7th-11th.  Cost will be $110 per player and will include a ball, shirt, and tickets to a Chicago Fire home game.  This camp is very beneficial to all players, and we relish the opportunity to host the Fire Developmental Coaches that come down for the week.  There will be an elementary camp (ages 4-14) held in the morning from 9:00 AM til Noon, and a Highschool camp in the evening from 5:00 - 8:00 PM.  Check back to the website for more information soon.
  • Congrats Indoor Iowa Games Participants: Congratulations to the Co-Ed U14 and U12 teams that participated in the Indoor Iowa Games in Dubuque.  These teams participated at a high level, bringing co-ed teams to participate in the boys division.  The U12 team finished in second place in their division, and the U14 team finished in third place in their division.  What is even more impressive is that both teams were also awarded the sportmanship medals within their division.  You have represented us well.  Congratulations!!!!
  • Congrats Region 1103 Volunteers: Congratulations to Tim Cronquist, who completed the referee instruction course, Danielle Haines, who completed the VIP Training Course, and Tim Riggle, who completed the Coach Instructor Course at the recent AYSO Expo in Lincolnshire, Illinois.  Thank you for bringing more soccer expertise throughout the region.  Also congratulation to Tim Riggle for receiving the Meritorious Service award for MY 2013, and to Region 1103 for achieving Gold Status in the most recent regional assessment.  That makes two years of silver and one year of gold.  Now we need to set our sights on platinum!!
