NAGM Update

Another successful NAGM in the books! It was an inspiring weekend as Executive Members from all around the country gathered together to discuss next steps for AYSO and the organization’s focus moving forward. Thank you to everyone in attendance. For those who may have missed the event, below you will find an NAGM 2019 Recap!

We would like to congratulate Michael Karon on being elected as the AYSO National President this weekend at NAGM! Michael has faithfully served on the National Board of Directors for the past 3 years and we're excited to see him continue his service. Additionally, this weekend marked Matthew Winegar's last day as AYSO National President as he will now be serving as AYSO‘s Transitional Executive Director!

- The Master Calendar for 2019-2020 was approved and will be available on the website soon!

- The Board approved to update the language of National Rules and Regulation 1. I Heading; 1.K Goalkeeper Punts, and 1.L Build Out Line

These changes go into effect immediately. These will align the Laws of the Game to the AYSO National Rules & Regulations pertaining to Goal Kicks in addition to clarifying the heading of the ball in younger ages.

- We had many faithful volunteers recognized for their years of service to AYSO from 10 years to 45! AYSO runs on volunteer power and we could not be more thankful for each volunteer who has dedicated their time to our players and families.

- Additionally, the proposed 11 v 11 Free Substitution amendment failed and the proposed amendment to change the term of the President to 3 years was withdrawn.

- The Section 11 Decades party raised over $9,500 for their VIP Program! Thank you to all who attended and made a contribution, and thank you to Audrey Castreje and her team for putting together such a fun night!

- Photos from the NAGM 2019 will be available by week's end.

- Please Note: As many of you may already know, the AYSO National Office will now be referred to as the AYSO Office.
