SOCCER SLAM 2026

Soccer Slam is a fast paced, high scoring outdoor soccer tournament. This tournament has often been referred to as "Fast Break Soccer" and is run in a similar fashion to a 3v3 basketball tournament.

TOURNAMENT RULES/DETAILS
• Single day tournament (am pool play, pm tournament play); guaranteed to play at least 4 games
• 8U plays 5 v 5, all other divisions 6 v 6
• Coed - Max roster 9, minimum 2 girls and 2 boys on the field at all times
• All goals = 1 Point
• Sportsmanship, first and second place trophies, and third place medals awarded in each division
• Skills competition with prizes to the winners in each division
REGISTRATION: Tournament is limited to six teams per division. A team spot will be held as soon as a volunteer and four players register with the same Soccer Slam team name. A team name may only be used by one team in the tournament (across all divisions). For duplicate team names, the team with the first volunteer to register will get the name. New teams will not be allowed to register after the registration deadline. Rosters may be updated until the week prior to the tournament. Late registrants may not receive a tournament t-shirt. No roster changes allowed after the tournament has started.
VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION: Each team MUST have at least one volunteer registered in the proper division of the Soccer Slam tournament as a head coach. The head coach must pass a background check and must have completed Safe Haven, Concussion, and Safe Sport Training. 8U head coaches must have a minimum of 8U coach certification (may be completed online) and head coach for all other divisions must have a minimum of 10U coach certification (may be completed online). Additional volunteers are allowed but must register, pass a background check, and complete online Safe Haven to participate on the team sideline. Teams may have a maximum of three volunteers (i.e., head coach plus two additional).
TEAM FORMATION RULES: All rosters will be verified by the Soccer Slam Director prior to posting. For outside regions, rosters must be approved by their region's RC prior to registration.
All Divisions: Teams may be formed from AT MOST two regular season teams (two co-ed teams or one male and one female).
8U, 10U, 12U, 14/16U:
• Teams may have no more than three players who participated in AYSO Select and/or a club program during the fall ’25-spring ‘26 season.
14/16U Players:
• A 14U player (birth year 2012, 2013) MAY NOT play in the 19U division. 14U players MUST play in the 14/16U division.
• A 14/16U team may have no more than three players who meet one or more of following criteria: 16U player (birth year 2010, 2011), club player (fall ‘25-spring ‘26), and/or AYSO Select player (fall ‘25-spring ‘26). • 16U players (birth year 2010, 2011) with ANY varsity soccer experience, including dressing for a varsity game, MUST play in the 19U division. *Dressing varsity demonstrates coach’s confidence that the player is advanced enough to compete with varsity level players. This rule is in place in the interest of player safety and team balance.
• A 16U player (birth year 2010, 2011) who participated in a club program (practice only and/or tournament) during the fall ‘25-spring ‘26 season MUST play in the 19U division.
• A 16U player (birth year 2010, 2011) without varsity or club participation during the fall ’25-spring ‘26 season may play in the division of their choice as long as all other rules are followed.
FREE AGENTS: Players who do not have a team may register by entering “free agent” in the Soccer Slam Team Name field. Every effort will be made to assign free agents to a team.
