Hello soccer families,

2.       Where do we go?

If you have not been to the soccer fields in Tiffin, they are located at 105 Park Rd, Tiffin, IA 52340.

If you have not been to the soccer fields in Williamsburg, they are located North of the softball/baseball field complex.  There is a daycare across the street from the fields and the street address of the daycare is 802 Franklin St, Williamsburg, IA 52361.  Park in the gravel parking lot and then go to your respective field, either the upper field, the lower field, or the white softball field.  There is an information tent at the north end of the parking lot if you need help finding your field.

3.       What color should I wear?

Looking at the reminder email that you get from Sports Connect, you will see something like this:

Opponents:  Brooklyn v. Williamsburg White
Date: April 10, 2021
Time: 3:15 pm
Location: Williamsburg Rec Center
Field: Field #5 – White Baseball Field

The Opponents line will tell you what color to wear.  The teams are always listed HOME v. AWAY.  The Home team is always in Blue and the Away team is always in Green.  So, if your team is listed first, wear Blue and if they are listed second, wear Green.  Players should also wear socks that match their starting jersey color.  And, because of our jamboree play, you should bring your other jersey with, just in case it is needed.

4.       I am new, how do I get my uniform?

New players should arrive about 10 minutes early.  Go to the informational tent/shelter and the uniform kits will be there.  You should have time to change before the session starts.

5.       Do I need shin guards?

YES!!!  Every player must have shin guards on to be able to play.  The shin guard must be under the sock for protection.  Shin guard should be put on first and then socks put on over them.  Do not just fold your sock down over the shin guard.

6.       Can I bring my pets to the field?

For the safety of the players and the fans, there should be NO pets brought to the playing fields.  Service animals are allowed.  For more information about our AYSO pet policy, go to

7.       My child has outgrown their uniform, can I get a replacement?

Yes!  We will have extra uniform items available for purchase at the information tent/shelter if your player has outgrown or worn out items.  Individually, jersey’s are $10 each, shorts are $10, and socks are $5 a pair or you can buy a whole new kit for $30.

8.       I do not know much about AYSO, how can I learn more?
With so many new families joining our AYSO program, we wanted to have a short parent meeting to talk about our program and our AYSO philosophies.  At the start of each playing session, as players are working on their drills, a parent from each family should meet at the information tent/shelter parents and have a quick meeting.  It should be finished before the games begin.

9.       Will there be pictures this spring?

YES!  On May 8th, Halverson’s Photography will be present for spring picture day.  We want all players to be present for a team picture as many players missed fall pictures. We will pass out more information about times as we receive them from Halverson’s.

10.   What COVID precautions are in place?
We are taking many precautions to try and keep your players safe.  Please make sure you are following Covid guidelines for your county.  Be responsible and smart and safe with your masks and social distancing.

Iowa County -

Johnson County -

Thank you all for being a part of our AYSO family and we are so excited to see players out on the pitch, kicking soccer balls.  Maybe it is a sign of things returning to “normal” or a metaphor for “kicking Covid”, either way, we can’t wait.

See you Saturday!!!
